Sickle Cell Convention: 9th Annual Warriors Convention

Sickle Cell Convention: 9th Annual Warriors Convention

Category of Opportunity:
Meeting/Conference

The Annual Sickle Cell Patient & Family Educational Symposium is hosted each year by a collaborative of Sickle Cell Consortium partners and is unique in that it
is the only national sickle cell convention created, organized, and hosted entirely by the sickle cell patient and family community.

Now in our ninth year, the meeting has grown in both size and scope, incorporating educational and interpersonal sessions for the general sickle cell patient community, as well as specific tracks for children, young adults, men, and the trait community.

This year we focus on "The Reset" of the Warrior community in an effort to incorporate more wholesome functionality and rejuvenation into our daily lifestyles by learning techniques that guide healthy and informational experiences mind, body, and spirit.

Additional financial assistance is available to sickle cell patients and caregivers upon request. If you require additional assistance, email Mrs. Maria Rivera at [email protected]

The sickle cell community is invited to join us for the 9th Annual Sickle Cell Patient and Family (Digital) Educational Symposium (The Warriors Convention). We welcome all patients, caregivers, healthcare providers, research scientists, and others, to join us as we present “The Warrior Reset: Taking Back Our Health”.

This year, ALL sickle cell warriors and caregivers are automatically awarded the scholarship registration rate of $25. There is NO application. Participants attending the Community Lunch and Learns will be invited to enjoy lunch on us as we educate and empower each other. We do, however, request that all Warrior and Caregiver participants plan to attend the main Community Lunch and Learn sessions, along with 50% of other sessions. This year’s Registration Kit will be digital and will be emailed to all participants. This Digital Registration Packet will include the program book, access to the website and mobile app, and digital copies of multiple patient-powered educational resources. Those who check-in each morning will also receive instructions to place your lunch order (if available in your area). A Physical Registration Kit will also be sent to all patients and caregivers. This is FREE for patients and caregivers.
