Implementation research to reduce non-communicable disease burden in LMICs and tribal nations (R01 clinical trial optional)
Summary: The Fogarty International Center and 10 other institutes and centres invite applications for their implementation research to reduce non-communicable disease burden in low- and middle-income countries and tribal nations during critical life stages and key transition periods (R01 clinical trial optional) funding opportunity. This supports innovative approaches to identifying, understanding, developing, and implementing strategies for overcoming barriers to the adoption, adaptation, integration, scale-up, and sustainability of evidence-based interventions, tools, policies, and guidelines of non-communicable diseases in LMICs. Studies to advance dissemination and implementation research methods and measures into application are encouraged. Applications that propose interventions targeting critical life stages and key transitions between life stages to reduce health risk or enhance positive health and lifestyle behaviours are also welcomed.
Application budgets are unlimited. Projects may last up to five years.

US and foreign for-profit or non-profit organisations and public or private institutions may apply.
